SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRAINMASTER
Southern Pacific Fairbanks-Mores M-24-66 Trainmasters were the
first SP Hood units in Black Widow paint when they went
into service as No's. 4800-4815 (November 1953 - March 1954). The dual service 2400 HP units with marine 12 cylinder opposed
piston engines worked the San Francisco Peninsula commute pool until their retirement (1973-1975) as No's. 3020-3035 (1965 renumbering).
